Life is looking up, mile 1-02: Crawford and Queen, revisited

The mile project is an excuse to visit and photograph random areas of Toronto. The scheme is simple. My home is ground zero. From there, sites that are distant from my home by single mile increments are selected for photo shoots. It just started so I’m at mile 1. Current sites are shown on my google maps page for this project.

I returned to the site of the second set of photos, near to the Queen St. W. and Crawford St. area of downtown Toronto to take another stab at shooting life, this time with some extra light. It was sunset time and I had a snooted SB-800, camera left and fitted with a 1/2 CTO filter, illuminating the wood post. Lens is a Nikon 17-55 mm f/2.8. Shot at 1/320 at f/3.5. Next time I’ll use a smaller aperture to get better DOF on the post…
