Last night they tried, and failed once again, to blow up the Space Needle. The little park at the bottom of my street (well, it’s just across the street) has a sweet view of the action.

The Gardens hosts these events for photographers each fall and it’s the only time when you can use a tripod. I brought along a light stand (forgot the umbrella, natch) and tried to make some pictures…

This is my favorite – I had a polarizer on the lens to take away all of the glare and allow the darkness of the water to contrast with the brightly colored leaves.

Jumper on the highway 99 (George Washington) bridge on 19 August 2010 while police boats keep watch in the ship canal. She did not jump but I watched for 20 min before I had to get going to the climbing gym.

Jumper flanked by two guys – one on the left was a cop but couldn’t tell about the guy on the right.
