I have built Linux binaries of molmol 2K-2 on RH v7.3 and RH v9. You
can obtain these here but I cannot guarentee these will work for you.
I do not have stock RH 7.3 or RH 9 distributions for software
compilation because I regularly update these systems with apt-get (the
RH version, natch).
NEW!!!
I have built both src and binary rpm packages for RH 9. To use the src
rpm (recommended) just follow these simple steps:
- rpm -ihv molmol-2k.2.0-1.src.rpm
- cd /usr/src/redhat/SPECS
- rpmbuild -bb molmol-2k.2.0-src.spec
- cd /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386
- rpm -ihv molmol-2k.2.0-1.i386.rpm
That's it!

I have received a report that both binaries provided below run fine
under RH v8. Hopefully they work for you too!
The following are two gzipped tar files that contain the
molmol-2k.2.0-doc.tar.gz files and the binary built by me. You will
need to edit the molmol script to change the location of MOLMOLHOME
(7th line in the molmol script) if you do not unpack this under /
(current default location is /usr/local/molmol).

Here are patches for RH7.3 and RH9 if you want to try to compile this
yourself. Please don't tell me these don't work for you. If you want
to compile source code then you get to make the patch work! Come on,
